Hello and Welcome to My Blog.
Recently I had some sort of writers revelation, it was a really cool moment in my life.
I was sitting at my computer, writing small nothings and thinking about a story I've been planning. I'd been thinking about the story for awhile, and already perfected the characters. All I really needed was the actual story, which wasn't coming to me. It was starting to get really frustrating, and I decided to take a break and clean up my room.
After I finished cleaning I went back to writing, hoping to get something done that day.
At first nothing happened, absolutely nothing, it was really frustrating. I decided to write some sort of horror story, then began making a list of names to use in the short one-shot.
After writing what looked like a list of deaths, my writers spark starting coming back. I continued writing the list, little by little adding to the characters back story and race, creating a almost conspiracy-theory-like story that tied in perfectly with my pre-created characters. After I finished that first piece of work, the one that may cause many great things in my life, I shut off my computer and thought for a couple hours, mapping out my new story and how everything fit together.
About a week has passed, and I've created a three-book length storyline complete with characters, tons of history, enemies, some romance, and landscape. I must say, I'm really happy about everything that's been planned.
As much as I want to jump in right now and start writing my latest obsession, first I have some research to do. Specifically Italian/Roman history, and human behaviour patterns. I'd also like to improve my writing skills before I start, it'd certainly make things easier when editing (ha ha).
Although my new story is completely mine, I must say, when it comes to the five main characters, I must thank my closest friends for inspiring me. Without them, I might have not had my writers revelation.
Well, I guess you could say my late new-years revolution is to become a better writer. I'm sure I will in the future, but for now I can only continue to hone my skills, particularly my grammar..

P.s,
If anyone has experience with creating ideal book covers, send me a message and we could talk ;)
